Neti Davis

Few women have the ability to leave a lasting impression on anyone that they come in contact with, and that’s what Neti Davis does: she’s instantly likable and her personality is one-of-a-kind. Neti is on the rise with her modeling career. She was Playboy Mexico Cyber Girl of the Month October 2014, had a feature on FHM online, and appeared in Chulo Magazine 2014. Soon enough–you’ll be inundated with Neti and something tells me that you won’t be opposed to it.

When did you get interested in modeling?

Neti Davis: I have modeled my entire life. I first started modeling at a couple of months old, so before I could really even remember–It was something I always loved doing.

How do you prepare for photo shoots mentally and physically?

Neti Davis: For 12 hours I drink only water and Gatorade. I must have music playing during the shoot and usually some sort of candy; like suckers to keep me balanced in between sets. And get plenty of rest the night before and do yoga. After a shoot is more fun–I make up for my last 12 hours fast (ha ha.)

Do you think modeling requires one to have thick skin to endure criticism and negativity that will eventually come their way?

Neti Davis: Absolutely! You are criticized for everything: too thin, too fat, too curvy, not enough curves. Thankfully, those aren’t something I lack, and I know I don’t but still hearing things be said like that requires a high self-esteem and a very thick skin. Just block out what everyone else says; It’s what I have learned to do over the years, or I wouldn’t still be doing this.

What do you think is the biggest misconception about modeling?

Neti Davis: Oh, my. Probably how “glamorous” it all is. Those shoots take hard work. We shoot outside in the cold, the unbearable heat, dirt, sand; it’s a job and sometimes a dirty one at that.

Were you already comfortable in front of the camera, or was it something that you had to build up to?

Neti Davis: I was born in front of the camera. It was something that I was definitely used to.

So far, what has been your favorite photo shoot experience?

Neti Davis: I’d have to say my Harley Davidson shoot, which you can see in my CGOM (Cyber Girl of the Month) October pictorial for Playboy Mexico. It was just all around perfect, and I love Harley’s so it was a shoot that I really wanted to do. I got to be me and totally myself during that shoot.

What does it feel like to be a part of Playboy?

Neti Davis: Amazing. Playboy is one big family. It is really an honor to be in the same category as so many that I have looked up to in the past and thought, ‘I want that to be me!’ and now it is. It didn’t happen over night, but it happened and it happened because I knew I wanted it and worked to make it happen. All of us girls are really like sisters; and the editors and staff of Playboy Mexico and others Playboy’s as well–have been there for me to just talk to and get advice from. It’s a great feeling knowing so many people care and want you to succeed.

Is there any company/publication that you want to work with, but haven’t yet?

Neti Davis: FHM. I really hope to be published with FHM this coming year.

Besides modeling, what else are you interested in and passionate about?

Neti Davis: Music and photography. I grew up in a music business family; it’s in my blood. And I first picked up a camera when I was just a baby and received my degree in photography a few years back. Those two things I am extremely passionate about!

What can people expect to see from you in the future?

Neti Davis: So much. I have written a few books over the last eight years, and I’m currently writing a third, which I plan on publishing all of them in the near future. Of course lots more from me and Playboy, and a bunch of other things that have been in the works, which I can’t spill the beans to yet.
