Throughout the years, models have graced covers of magazines, calendars, and posters. Upon first glance of Melissa Lori, you see her beautiful figure, face, smile, etc. But what is more telling is her dominance of the camera. Each photo she tells a story with her pose and the way she looks at the camera. And if you look enough—you’ll  discover what she’s trying to convey in her photos. Internationally published Playboy model, Melissa Lori, is an absolute beauty and she has her sights set high on achieving her goals, which in turn, she hopes to inspire people to do the same in their lives.

Justin Marroquin: When did you decide that you wanted to be a model?

Melissa Lori: When I was ten years old.

Justin Marroquin: What was your first photo shoot experience like?

Melissa Lori: I was so nervous—I was shaking, but I was excited at the same time because I knew that this was something I wanted to do.

Justin Marroquin: Is there anything that you wanted to specifically achieve when you started modeling?

Melissa Lori: I always wanted to be in magazines, that is for sure. I wanted people to look up to me.

Justin Marroquin: What is your favorite aspect of modeling?

Melissa Lori: I love traveling and meeting new people—I have met some of my closest friends in this industry.

Justin Marroquin: How do you handle criticism and negativity?

Melissa Lori: I am a very positive person; I kill them with kindness. Being negative gets you nowhere in life. I tell people to focus more on themselves rather than pointing fingers at others.

Justin Marroquin: What company/publication would you like to work with, and why?

Melissa Lori: I was published in Playboy Romania, but I would love to do more Playboy work. For some reason—just something so sexy and bold about these women.

Justin Marroquin: Describe some challenges that you’ve faced in the modeling industry, and how did you overcome them?

Melissa Lori: It really is a hard business, it is all about self promotion and getting exposure. I am all natural, so that does make it hard for me in some aspects, but I am a walking campaign for natural beauty—and I think that’s something not many people have and feel confident about it.

Justin Marroquin: Besides modeling, what else are you interested in and passionate about?

Melissa Lori: I also love singing and dancing. When I am not modeling, I am shopping, traveling, going to the beach, clubbing, or hanging with my family and friends.

Justin Marroquin: What do you want to achieve in 2014?

Melissa Lori: I want to be more recognized as a public figure, and start moving up in the music industry.

Justin Marroquin: Share some advice that has helped you in not only your modeling career, but in your personal life as well?

Melissa Lori: Be you. Do what makes you happy; don’t let the opinions of others bring you down. If you’re content with yourself, that is all that matters. Don’t give up because you fail, keep chasing your dreams.
