“If you never had, you should. These things are fun and fun is good.”

Playboy  Playmate-Miss October 2011, cover model, TV host, actress, fitness fanatic, world traveler, lover of life. Amanda Cerny is one exceptional woman, and what makes her unique from other models is her sincere desire to help people, and bring joy to their lives. It would not surprise me one bit that Amanda will be an important person in our country, and society.

Justin Marroquin: What got you interested in Playboy?

Amanda Cerny: I was attending Florida State University at the time, and two of my friends mentioned I should submit for it. It was completely spontaneous as I never had posed nude before. I submitted my bikini modeling photos, and was flown out to L.A. for a test shoot. And soon enough, I became Miss October 2011.

Justin Marroquin: How does it feel to be part of Playboy?

Amanda Cerny: Amazing! I am a part of history now. It is crazy to realize that there are only 12 Playmates chosen every year by Hugh Hefner himself. It is like one big family, and automatically gives you an amazing network in Hollywood.

Justin Marroquin: Besides modeling, what else are you passionate about?

Amanda Cerny: My charity in Haiti. I helped start a new foundation called the Play Foundation with my manager, Ryan Narain. We are launching the L.A. office next month (as of this writing, it has launched), so I can start working on more projects here in L.A. DJ Chuckie is the chairman for Aruba, and I will be the chairwoman for California; super exciting!

Justin Marroquin: How do you overcome failure?

Amanda Cerny: By understanding that life is like a roller coaster, and that nothing lasts forever. With hard work, anything is possible and failures are not actually you failing, but life lessons on your steps towards success.

Justin Marroquin: What are some goals you would like to achieve?

Amanda Cerny: I would love to get more involved with acting/hosting, now that I am hopefully traveling less frequently, and can utilize my network more in Los Angeles.

Justin Marroquin: What are you really proud of in your life right now?

Amanda Cerny: Being independent and slowly merging from the model stereotype into more of a respected business minded woman.

Justin Marroquin: How do you handle negativity?

Amanda Cerny: I see it, but don’t acknowledge it. Only surround yourself with greatness, right?

Justin Marroquin: Do you have a favorite book, movie, or quote?

Justin Marroquin: What is your favorite memory being part of Playboy?

Amanda Cerny: Metting Hugh Hefner for the very first time; so surreal! Now, I am blessed to see him every week for Sunday dinners with the friends and family! Such an icon!

Justin Marroquin: How do you want to be remembered?

Amanda Cerny: As someone who really worked hard for everything so far in life, while maintaining my morals and staying humble. Doing good really makes me feel amazing, so being remembered as someone who cared for others dreams and well-being would be awesome!
